Who Should Use A Dementia Device
People with dementia/cognitive impairment are at risk of wandering and getting lost because they are disoriented, restless, agitated and possibly anxious. Once lost they are in danger of injury and even death from falls, accidents and exposure. Some dementia/cognitive impairment sufferers can believe they are looking for something (such as a familiar place, a familiar person or something to eat) or think they need to fulfill former obligations. Location Devices and Trackers can play an important role in dementia care and management. They can also be useful for people with mild cognitive impairment, who can become confused or disoriented.
Incidents of disorientation and forgetfulness are a common symptom of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), Dementia, and other diseases like Parkinson’s that can affect cognition. Location finding devices and trackers come into play when these events of disorientation happen somewhere other than in the home.
As an example, consider a loved one with relatively mild dementia, who has a very well-known routine, and can function well so long as they are in familiar surrounds or environment. USING ALTERNATE SIM CARDS
Network carrier’s main band; SIM cards must be compatible with at least one main frequency band to work.
SIM cards work on multiple frequencies, the more bands and frequencies your SIM card has in common with the devices listed frequencies, the better. It means your lone worker device will be able to pick up either the carrier’s 3G or 4G LTE more readily, in more places.
You want to especially make sure your device works on the carrier’s primary bands, as they represent the majority of the network signal they put out. Check with your local carrier to find out their main frequency band in your area.
